Visitor's Question:
Hey its I* again, I asked a question before, but now there are even more issues! I told you guys that i wanted to date my best female friend. And how her boyfriend mistreated her, while i was there for her. Well now, shes become very....lets say "bitchy" at me. She would always give me an attitude. I would try and say something nice and she would say "So? Why would i deserve that? Shuttup!" and it hurts, cuz it feels like i cant do anything for her. It feels like im just a punching bag for her. And today her boyfriend called her up, which reminded her of what a pot-head he was and how he beated her. But she still has this "thing" for him. She was crying and saying "Maybe i should try pot, maybe he would accept me then. Well everyone is doing it and their all pressuring me to do it, so maybe i should?" And shes a really smart girl, all her life shes been pressured to do drugs, but she never touched them. I tell her "(her name here), dont even think about doing that stuff! It will seriously f*** up your whole life. Your an awsome person, and if you do pot, you will lose all your friends and family. And i really dont want to lose you. Dont try to be 'cool' and do it. Dont try to fit in. Just be yourself, and if other people dont like it, then screw them. Because i love who you are now, and im sure all your friends will really be pissed at you." Be she keeps saying the same thing over, about how her ex used to do it.

Our Suggestion:
You are doing the right thing for her.

Unfortunately she is not doing the right things for you. She has no right to treat you as poorly as she does. And this thing about pot is from left field. Does she really believe that will improve her relationship with her boyfriend? It will probably just wreck what they have.

Keep reminding her what a smart girl she is and that he can't be right for her if he is leading her into drugs.

Be sure to tell her that you care for her frequently so that it won't come as a surprise when you tell her that you love her. And, don't let her get away with treating you mean... just say, "Hey, I thought we were friends."

Hope some of this helps!
George
