Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Hi, I wrote a question (i think you titled it going off to separate colleges) a couple months ago, and I just wanted some advice for how things are these days.

Over the couple months until I left, things progressed somewhat in terms of being around each other. Even though she was dating one guy fairly often (and apparently others also) and I was dating fairly lightly, we saw each other a few times. It was nice and sweet and we were really civil to each other except, no relationship.

For her graduation we saw each other one last time for the rest of the summer (i was going to europe the next day), and i gave her a little graduation card that she really liked, and commented that it made up for this really awful story i wrote for her on our year anniversary. So that was nice. And then she said when I asked how she felt about me that she loved me. great huh. but i guess the attraction isn't there right now, still don't know from her end what happened to us.

We've been casually emailing a bit back and forth, she asks me for help on stuff like buying a computer and what she should be thinking about for school coming up. She tells me about new hobbies and stuff, gives me advice on situations, it's how we were before we dated. Tough but I sometimes would rather have this than nothing at all. Other times its pretty tough. Where should I go from here? Thanks for your guys' help again

Our Suggestion:
You have just over a month before college starts.

Your relationship right now seems very amicable and close in many ways. But, you want more and understandably so.

Perhaps you should try one last time to tell her how you feel and tell her you will abide by her decision. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Good luck,
George
