Visitor's Question:
crush on a female co worker

I need advice I developed a crush on a co-worker who is married. My co-worker and me became very close friends over time sharing very personal thoughts about our lives. Threw time I fell in love with her I knew that she kinda felt it but one day I broke down and confessed my feeling for her she took it as thoughtful and loving gesture but over time our friendship got strained I never told any of my co-workers they would tell my co worker that I had a crush on her this in return would make her angry because it was all untrue. Her husband also works at the same company but in a different division. Co workers would tell him lies about me and his wives relationship nothing happened between us in a physical way we were just close friends. She has gotten very angry over all the rumors that her husband has been told her children have also been told rumors. She has taken this very hard and has started to shut me out of her life for the most part. I have tried to explain to her that It was wrong to fall in love with her she still fells some honestly towards me I would ask her is she was made at me she stated no. I just don’t believe her I have tried to scale back my contact with to give her the room she needs. I still can’t get over my feelings for her I still love her but its starting to strain our friendship witch make the workplace a tough place to work. I wanted to tell her husband that it all Bs and we are just friends but I don’t know if that’s a good idea I thought it my backfire on me causing more harm then good. Her husband doesn’t know me just has heard of me

Please help confused and lost.

Our Suggestion:
She is probably telling her husband everything.

So simply tell her that you realize that your love in inappropriate and tha you are going to desist from you feelings for her.

Everyone can understand loving feelings, but most people expect that established relationships take priority.

Tell her that you are going to give her up for her own sake. She will appreciate you for it very much.

Good luck!
George
