Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
ok there is this grl that i like and ive known her for about 6 or 7 months now. And during that time we have become such great friends. I never really pictured myself going out with her but as i got to know her i started to like her. now i cant picture myself going out with anyone else, whenever i try to i just cant because she has been the best person ive come across in a long while.

Well i asked her out about 2 months ago and she said no and i was deeply hurt by it cause all i could think about at that time was going out with her and nothing else. Well i finally got over it and we remained friends, and this past week i found out that she liked me and the only reason as to y she doesnt want to go out with me is because she doesnt want to ruin our friendship and i never really thought about that.

This past tuesday we were talkin on the phone and we were havin the greatest time talkin, and then she told me that she loved to talk to me because she felt that she could tell me anything. As much as i want to go out with her i dont want to lose our friendship i want to build on it and improve it so that mabye one day we could go out. I dont know what i would do if she hated me and everyday i would know the fact that she hated me i could not stand it.

i know this may be a dumb question but could u tell me if im doin everything right and mabye give me more advice on how to go about doing this.

Our Suggestion:
This is really, really common. All great relationships are based on great friendships. So you guys are doing just the right thing, and while her fears are natural, they're what every single couple has to go through before they become boyfriend-girlfriend. So she has to get through those fears, just like everyone else does.

But in essence don't think of it as a "huge change". People who are really good boyfriend-girlfriend ARE BEST FRIENDS. That is what is so special about them. So it's not a big change. It's just about being best friends, and doing things together, and hugging too.
