Visitor's Question:
My boyfriend and I have been dating for three months. About a month ago I get a call from my ex's mom saying that I still had some stuff there and if I wanted it I had to come get it or she'd put it in the trash. So like a fool I went down there to get my stuff. My bf called and I told him what I was doing. He got pretty mad at me and wouldn't talk to me tell the next night. We talked things threw and he said that he didn't trust me and it would take alot for him to trust me again. Everything seemed to be going good tell about two weeks ago when I found out that my supposed best friend was telling people that I was sleeping with my bf, my ex boyfriend and some guy I work with and I didn't do any of it. And she had some girl call my boyfriend and tell him the same thing on his voice mail. He didn't believe it but was really upset about it and I know that the trust level between us went down some more. Then on October 1st my supposed best friend calls me up and wants to talk and she denied the everything that I know she did. Then about two hours after we talked my boyfriend called me up and broke up with me. He claims its because he doesn't trust me but I have a feeling my friend called him and said something. Because now he won't even answer my phone calls when I try to call him. I love him and I want to be with him I just don't know how to prove to him all the rumors about me are not true.

Our Suggestion:
You are in a tough situation.

Your boyfriend won't talk to you. You would have a difficult time disproving rumors. Even if you tracked down the rumor-mongers they probably wouldn't confess what they had done. And no matter what you do, it is improbable that your b/f would trust you fully.

If you want to try to climb this mountain, my advice is to call him once a week and just ask him how he is doing and keep the conversation short so he won't think you are trying to get him back again. Keep doing this and hope he will become a friend again and then more. But, don't county on this working!

Good luck!
George
