Visitor's Question: Hi i'm 15 and i have a huge problem.I went to the homecoming dance a couple of nights ago with some of my friends and I saw my ex girlfriend there. I really wanted to talk to her about stuff (mainly our relationship) but that's not what happened. I approached her and asked if she could teach me how to dance (to techno and hip-hop.) Just to start off a conversation. She said she didn't know how to teach and continued to dance with her friends. I was leaving at 9:30 and I said bye to all my friends. I tried to say bye to her but she saw me in the corner of her eyes and just darted out in the crowd. I think I annoyed her too much about dancing cause she snubbed me three times when I atried to approach her. My friend's grilfriend said it was because my ex thought I looked nice and attractive so she was afraid to talk to me. I did dress nicely for this event instead of looking like a slob. Now I think I have less of a chance of getting together with her again. What should I do??????? Our Suggestion: My answer is the same as I suggested the other day when you wrote: Start off simple. Whenever you see her, look her straight in the eye, say Hi and her name clearly (don't mumble), and give her a big smile. Pretty soon she will be talking and smiling at you. Then ask her how she is doing and she will say "fine" and you say "great!" Once you have reached this stage, you should figure out things to talk about and start a conversation with her.
