My girlfriend broke up with me about 6 weeks ago. She asked for space. The next day at school she was teling ALL her friends about all the BAD things and why she didnt want to be with me. She told everyone how i controlled her and never listened. Yet from my view she didnt communicate. We tried a break for a couple weeks but it didnt seem like a break. After she broke up with me i didnt know why. So i have been talking to everyone trying to find out why. Her dad called me the following day after the breakup to tell me that i am to never see or speak to his daughter again. I am lost because i KNOW we were in love and can be happy if she would just communicate with me. We talk now and then but she seems to have moved on and forgot me. I have learned alot about what i did wrong but i want to show her. She tells me and my friends that she doesnt want us to work and she doesnt think we are meant to be. But the breakup was out of no where, random, etc. I am trying to ignore her and give her space but i am agraid she might really have moved on. Plus she has these new friends that are pressuring her to not talk to me. Do you think after a breakup you can be good friends? and then become lovers again?

Our Suggestion:
You seem to have hopes of getting back together with this girl.

But, her father has told you to never see or talk to her again.

That and her behavior concerning you tells me that you should walk away from this situation.
