Visitor's Question:
my age is 17 and i met a girl 5 years ago but our families already knew each other for a long time. so i met her and i began to like her but she never showed any interest in me. So during these five years we kept meeting with each other but she still had the same feelings for me. My liking towards her evolved into love and sometimes i sacrificed many things in my life just so that i can get her. i sometimes didn't eat my lunch for 2 months and asked god that please bring her into my life. Thus she still had same feelings for me until i asked her email address. From there things between us changed because before we were just a boy and a girl who knew each other and now we talk to each other and are friends. Thus i have brought this relationship to a certain point to where i can chat with her every two days. I consider this as a mission for myself because i have only one and half years till she goes back to our country india. i will stay here and study and that's why im trying my best to create love between us before she goes back. also i can't drive because of personal issues so i can't even take her out. also intersting thing is that she has hid about our talking on the internet and phone to her family and she has made me promise that i won't tell this to either her or my family. so my mission in life is to marry her and live happily after. so please help me and tell me what should i do.

Our Suggestion:
You are asking a very difficult answer.

A possible way to win her love is to spend more time with her, share deep feelings with her, and enjoy each other.

It is not a good sign that she doesn't want the parents to know about it. But maybe that will pass.

Not being able to drive is a drawback too. I hope there is public transportation where you live. Perhaps you could double date with a couple who have a car.

Then she is going a way in a year and a half. Do you plan on having a long-distance relationship for four years and then one or the other of you will have to move? That is a very tough mission to carry out.

My advice is to continue calling her and gradually convince her to tell your parents because nothing will work without their blessing.

Good luck! George
