Visitor's Question:
My girlfriend and I went out for over a year. We talked a little off and on for over a year. I was her first kiss and she said that she has loved me since the first night we were together. But throughout the relationship I was trying to enjoy my senior year and not doing everything I could to show her I loved her. Every weekend I wanted to hang out with MY friends and do what I wanted. I didn't care if she was there with me but I wanted to do what I wanted. I never made time for the things that she wanted on the weekends. I spent every night with her on the week days though and I just thought that was enough. She broke up with me a little over a month ago. I tried to be friends with her but that was getting to hard. Seeing her everyday and thinking that it would get better and we could be in a relationship again. But then she told me that she didn't feel the same as she did. She still cares about me but she doesn't love me the same as she used to. And she isn't going to be in a relationship pretending to love me with all her heart and not. She wants someone that she feels she can never live without. I told her I would give up the things that I wanted and spend that time with her. And I would be more considerate of her feelings toward the things that I do want. I either need to forget about her or get her back... But I don't kow what to do or how. I want her back so much and I can't even make her give me a chance.

Our Suggestion:
No, it doesn't sound like you are going to get a second chance.

You have learned a lesson that you have to pay attention to your g/f and her needs. The way to do that is to talk with her very often about how she is feeling about your relationship.

Now it's time to go out looking for a new girlfriend... there are many, many of them waiting for you.

Good luck! George
