Visitor's Question:
Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year and a half, we both enjoy going out at the weekends and agree staurday nights was our time with our friends, up until 2 months ago everything was fine. For the past 6 months on a weekend there is a few of us who go out together both guys and girls and although i am good friends with a few of the guys there is this one girl is all over him everytime, i mentioned it and it was decided i was reading too much into things. Since the beginning of december he has been out every weekend all weekend getting drunk and taking drugs, i have now found out off a friend he has kissed this girl on 3 occasions back at a house party where the drink and drugs continued. I asked him and he admitted it to me. When i asked if he wanted to be with this other girl and he told me no he wanted me and it was the biggest mistake of his life cause he would never be able to find someone like me and doesnt want any other women. (which i believe as this girl is not good looking and doesnt have a fantastic figure or personality) Now my problem is he says he loves me and it was all a mistake and he doesnt even remember any of it as he was off his head on drink and drugs an now he needs to sort his head out and figure stuff out and have some time on his own. wheras i would really like to forget all this and get our relationship back on track, so im kind of in limbo land waiting for him to decide what he wants and what to do. I love him so much and really want things back as normal having fun, being best friends etc..but this waiting is torture ive told him no friendly messages no phone calls unless its something i want to hear (grovel and beg for forgiveness)how long should i leave for him to sort his head out before i have to face facts and move on?

Our Suggestion:
You have another option you didn't mention.

And that is to tell him the truth about how you feel and that you want him back and for things to be the way they were. This is what a relationship is about, not expecting him to grovel and beg you to take him back.

But, if that's the way you want it give him until Valentine's Day.

Good luck! George
