Visitor's Question:
Well the problem is that MY GF just got started at a new job. one of her co-workers it seems, likes her.Well she told me that her co-worker one night was waiting for a ride home so she decided to wait with him (at the time i was expecting a phone call from her). I said Ok no big deal, nothing happend. the next morning she told me of a dream she had where her and her co working were walking out a store holding hands. i understand that dreams are just that, dreams and nothing more, but for some reason i feel very uncomfortable. I expressed this uncomfort to her to see what her reaction would be. well it seems that she is bothered by that fact. She has expressed to me that her co-worker has said things to her with very many sexual implications. She has also told me that they are just friends, and that she wishes to continue this friendship with him.We are curently involved in a Ling distance relationship, due to schooling. i've never dealt with jealousy before. what should i do?

Our Suggestion:
Jealousy is very important to conquer.

It can overwhelm you, make your life miserable, and threaten your relationship. Being in a long distance relationship just makes it more difficult.

You need to build up your trust in your girl friend. Trust is one of the cornerstones of a relationship. Whenever you have jealous thoughts about her, fight against them by saying that you trust her and tell the jealous thoughts to go away and leave you alone. After 100 times the thoughts will weaken and give up.

Hope this helps! George
