is this my second chance?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
well im 18 and he is 20 and she is 17
two years ago. "dave" asked me out. i really liked him and really liked me too, but realized he liked me when it was too late. this girl, "mary" came into the picture. she, at the time was my friend and she found out about us...later she tells me she thinks she likes him too. we talked it out and she left it alone. later about a week after he asked me out...she is braging about how he gave her a ride home and they hooked up....she tells me there together. it really hurt me when i asked her why she still persued him...she said : "because you took to long to make a move!" Evan though i liked him so much..I gave up and let her have her way....now over the past two years i have had so much guilt...i always wonder why i didn't fight for his love or something!! recently i ran into him..he invited me to see his band play...i went and we talked ...he apologized and said he still wants to talk but he also told me he is still with mary and they date off and on....
what i need to know is....is this my 2nd chance...does he still care about me? whats should i do....please give a advice.
