Fell in love with a girl...one problem. i AM a girl.
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleBasically, i am a 16 year old girl and i think i am in love with one of my best friends. I think about her all the time and i miss her when she's not around. Lately, we have been spending ALOT of time together and sometimes it seems like she sort of has feelings for me...but it's hard to tell. I'm afraid to tell her how i feel at the risk of losing a friendship that means so much to me, but is it still the right thing to do? Is there a way to get her to understand how i feel WITHOUT just telling her outright? Is it possible to get HER to make the first move?
RomanceClass.com AdviceThe answers are the same for girl-girl, girl-boy, and boy-boy.
You have to find your way with each person as best you can.
Since you are such good friends, why not ask her hypothetically how she feels about girl-girl romantic relationships. This is not going to threaten your friendship.
Based on her answer you can decide what to do. Keep in mind that she may say she doesn't approve of girl-girl because she is afraid to say it. But you should take her at her word anyway.
Good luck! George
