Just a flirty friend or more?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Well theres this guy I've known for a while, and just recently we've become good friends. We usually hang out in a group, but lately we've been hanging out more one on one. He's always very sweet with me and is also very protective of me. The thing is though, he's also like that with his other female friends, who are lesbians. He flirts shamelessly and asks me a lot about my ex, and about the kinds of guys I like. He also gives me hints about flirting and how to let a guy know you like him. He took me to meet his grandma and joked about how she'll assume we're a couple. I heard his friend ask him if hed be interested in going out with me when they thought i wasnt within earshot, but i obviously couldnt hear the answer. He did ask a girl for her number in front of me, but was hesitant when another friend asked him if he was going to call her. He also makes sure to tell me he loves me and asks me to kiss him on the cheek, but im afraid that maybe im horribly misinterpreting all this as signs of romantic interst, when its really just a sign of a solid friendship. What do you think? Thanks!
