Why is he acting like this?
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleMy exboyfriend and I met while I was engaged to someone else. We were friends for about 7 months and then I started falling for him. So I did the responsible thing and broke up with my fiance because I knew if I was having such strong feelings for someone else than I must not truly love my fiance. Soon after the official break up I moved in with my ex and his roommate. My ex would tell me things like "if you werent just engaged I would ask you to marry me" and "i love you so much". These comments came very soon after we first got together. I guess he said those things within the first 2-3 months that we were together. His roommate also had a gf move in with him so there were 4 people living in an apartment together plus a puppy that we got from the pound. He asked me if I would want to get an apartment with him and I excitedly said yes. We live together in that apartment for 6 months until he broke up with me out of nowhere. He is 28 years old and he could not give me a reason why. But I know it was because he has commitment issues. He also went everynight for 3 weeks while I stayed at home. And when I wouldnt know where he was in the middle of the night he would get mad at me when I would call him to see where he was. Now it has been almost three months since we broke up. He still tells me Im pretty, he misses me, and he still loves me. But he just doesnt want to get back with me. He gets mad mhen I bring us up and he wont talk about to anyone else either. His mother is going through some money problems so she is sleeping in his living room and they are about to get a three bedroom apartment. So it will be him, his mom, and another girl living together. The other girl is one of his really god friends, but before we got together they had been sleeping together off and on for three years. And he thinks its redidulous that I am upset that she will be living with him (becasue I know that she still has feelings for him). And although he is the one that calls me to hang out she gives him attitude whenever we do. I dont know what to do. I cant get over him.
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou are in a bad spot and I am sorry for you.
He is giving you very mixed messages. And, he refuses to talk about your situation. Seems you have two choices... first is to dump him and second is to remain his friend and hang out with him. Perhaps he will come back to you, but given his life right now it seems unlikely.
Good luck! George
