I mess up
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleWell my ex-girlfriend and I were going out for a year and a half. We were eachother best friends. Everything was going great untill almost two months ago on a friday we were both drinking allot and got into a fight. Not a really bad fight but we were drunk. Next morning I woke up at her house I made her some breakfest. Everything was Fine and then she started to cry and told me she can't do this anymore. I'm 25 and she 34. She said that were on two different places. Well My day went to bad to really bad after my friend call me that day and told me one of my best friends had died too. So After this I call her and told her about it and she said she couldn't be around me at the time. Everything was really hard for me. Well since then on weekdays will talk or e-mail and be fine but on fridays everytime she shows up at the place I hang out at we fight. I've been the bad guy for the fights the last month. Everytime I see her we will talk and then the rest of the night she won't talk with me anymore. It really hurts me so I become a dick. I don't want to hurt her. Now we have no contact for a month so we both can heal. Is there someway I can make everything better. maybe become friends or something else again? It's been 4 days without no contact and it's really hard. She said she stills loves me and really cares about me. I feel the same
Thanks Dusty
RomanceClass.com AdviceSince you both still love each other, you have a chance.
Maybe it's time for professional counselling to help get at the root of the problem.
Meanwhile, stop being a dick and act like a man. Hurting is part of life and you have to learn to deal with it. This will cut down on the fighting that you are doing. She will appreciate it a lot.
She has to learn to act better too. It takes two to argue.
We are here to enjoy life not to be miserable.
Good luck! George
