does our love stand a chance?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Femalemy ex-boyfriend and i have been together for 3 years and broke up about a month and 2 weeks ago. i broke up with him on the spot because i was mad and then the next day i apologized to him and he wouldn't accept it, he said that he's tired of my temper. for about 3 weeks after our break up i've been tryin to get him back but he wouldn't wanna hear of it. he would walk me home and one day he hugged me and was tellin me how much he missed me and how he wanted to kiss me. after that situation i was a bit confused so i asked him and he told me he still didn't want me back, so i started to ignore him for about a week and a half. then we talked again and he seemed to miss me a lot telling me how he's lonely without me. he told me that he still loves me but he needs to get use to the change that i've made for him (the temper problem, i told him i would never do that to him again or hurt him in anyway). i don't know what to think. he never calls me to talk he only talks to me when we're in class together, always asking me what i did and with who. i really miss him, i still love him and care for him very much even though during this month and 2 weeks he's really hurt me with some of the things he's done. most of the time he acts like he really cares about me and misses me but sometimes he acts like a real jerk. what do you think he's trying to do? is he just trying to hurt me when he sees that i'm doing a little better? any advice would be helpful. thank you
RomanceClass.com AdviceI don't know what he is trying to do... perhaps he's trying to work his way through the hurt.
You need to do a lot of talking with him to get things back on the road to recover. You both seem to want to but don't know how. Talk about that.
Be sure to tell him you love him and want him back frequently. He needs to hear that.
Good luck! George
