Parents are getting involved and I'm having issues.
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleOkay.. I just got back with my boyfriend.. you know the one with the mustache? lol yea well.. Ever since we were going out the first time he doesn't call much at all. Only when i would specifically tell him "Call me tonite I'm really frustrated" He would call me that night and then not again until i said to. My mom often would ask me, "Have you talked to him lately?" I would say yeah I just called him yesterday but he was sleeping. Then she would say, "Do you only call him or does he call you?" I would lie and say, "He calls me too don't worry about it" Naturally I get defensive because I dont want her lecturing me and getting involved. She said "dont talk to me like that im your mother. You're acting like its none of my business but it is I dont want you being stupid" And we got in a huge fight. I would talk to my friend that new my boyfriend for 5 years and he said that my boyfriend isnt the type to call and visit without bein called first.. My boyfriend doesn't say he misses me unless i say it first and that bothers me but my friend says hes always been like that.. How can I get my mom to leave me alone and stop making me feel worse and how can I get my boyfriend to start callin more or at least show a little more affection?? (It's also hard to get him to answer the phone. I understand though hes busy at work and works from like 3 pm to 5 am and sleeps alot.)

He works from 3 PM to 5 AM. He has to sleep sometime.
Explain this to your mother and tell her it is frustrating you too so that she realizes you are being sensible.
You are lucky he calls you at all given his work schedule.
Good luck! George
