to call, or not to call?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleMy girlfriend of 4 years broke up with me a little more than a month ago. She cheated on me, then we had planned on working everything out and starting over. A few days later, she changed her mind and thought it better if we broke up. Every time I asked why, she gave me a different answer. She eventually told me that she needed space and time to herself. She was my first love, and I was hers. I would try to call her once a week to let her know i was still here to talk and everything, but everytime I called her, she would give me one word answers or act really smug on the phone like I was wasting her time. Needless to say, it mad me really angry and i eventually stopped calling. a few weeks later, I saw her at the mall and we sat and talked for a while. She acted like she really missed me, and asked for a hug before i left to go home. I called her a few days after that and she started acting like I was wasting her time again, so i havent called since. Its been a month since then and ive been trying to move on, but i still think about her often and miss her terribly. I want to call her, but my mind wont let me. I know how she'll act, and I'll only end up hurting myself. i want to move on, but im stilol in love with her. I cant help wondering if she's still in love with me and wondering about me too. Trying to keep busy helps, but I still want her in my life, even if she's not my girlfriend. should I call her despite of how i think she'll act? should I just wait until I see her again? I swear....I dont know what to do anymore.
RomanceClass.com AdviceFortunately she is answering your calls.
Try calling her once a week just for 15 mins... tell her it will only be 15 mins each time. This will giver her the space she needs and you the contact that you need. Try to keep the phonecalls upbeat.
Good luck! George
