I screwed up

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
hey i'm a 16 yr old guy and i liked this girl, and i kind of knew her but not really, we talked sometimes and had danced like 3 times together. then one day i decided to ask her out... she said yes, now her's where i started screwing up...i didn't really talk to her at all during the week, then she said she just wanted to get to know each other better first..so we talked on msn a bit then at our final dance of the year i asked her if she wanted to go out...she said ok. i really only talked to her on msn then a couple of days later she told me she just wanted to be friends and that she wasn't ready for a relationship right now...my friend said it was over and i should just move on...but i can't stop thinking about her...i almost always talk to her on msn when we're both on and this happened like 2 months ago at the end of school...i was just wondering if you think i should try again when school starts or if i should move on with someone else...thnx for your help

Why not keep it going and hope that it develops into something more.

You can always be looking for another girl at the same time.
