What should I do?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Me and my boyfriend of three years broke up about a month ago. We lived together for two years and then moved to a new city for my Graduate school. Then, I felt i needed some space to do my work and make new friends, so I decided to move out and get my own apartment. However, I did not want us to break up completely. He, though, said that this is it. He was hurt and did not want to give it another chance...I felt so devastated...two days after he started hanging out with a girl from his class and said that she was helping him get over me...
It's been a month already and I still feel really guilty and responsible for hurting him and being selfish. He says now that he does not feel about me the way he used to. He says he cares, but is not in love with me. I suggested that we should be just friends, but I am always the one to call. He never does...I am now thinking that I emotionally dependent on him and should let go..stop calling and talking to him. I told I dont want a relationship, but he thinks that I still do and he does not want to be pushed into something like that. What is there to do, let go?

Yes, I agree that it is time to let go.

If it's going to come back together again, it will. But at this point it seems rather unlikely.

Put your energy into school work and find someone new.

Good luck! George
