what to do about his ex
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Femalehi, i've been with my new boyfriend for about 3 weeks now. we've managed to moved very fast and serious in our relationship already. he told me he loved me during our 2nd date. i do love him very much. the problem i have is his ex girlfriend. they were together for a year and a half and they've been apart for maybe over 3 months now. she keeps calling him everyday. on our first date she called 4 times in a span of about 2 hours. last week, my boyfriend gave me his phone to use while he was at work and she called. i was very polite and didn't really give her a peace of my mind as i had wanted to. my boyfriend tells me that he doesn't wanna talk to her anymore, and he told her this. but he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. she knows about me (from what he tells me).
a few weeks back we broke up for a day because of her. she wrote him a letter and kept calling him. he couldn't make up his mind about whom he wanted to be with. the next day he asked me to take him back. so, now i can't help but worry if she's still trying to mess with his head. she dumped him and she treated him horribly.
how do i suggest to him that i don't want him to communicate with her? i don't wanna come across as being bossy, but i don't wanna be a doormat either.
RomanceClass.com AdviceBe honest with him without being bossy.
He already knows you don't like her calling.
He needs to tell her that she is putting him in a hard place and that she should stop calling because he doesn't want to hurt you.
It sounds sort of silly, but if he would just keep saying "ouch" when she calls she might get the message that she was hurting him.
Good luck! George
