The girl I knew..is gone??
Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old MaleI have been with my girlfriend for over 3 1/2 years. She has always been the sweetest girl! She would have done anything for me. Throughout our relationship, I really wasn't the best boyfriend, putting things in front of her, not acting much like a boyfriend (because thats how I was raised). But after looking back, she was totally right and I definently feel I am a changed person. I would do anything, just to see her happy. Well, she recently moved on campus, with her roomates, so, she is trying new things. She is out of her parents house, with nooone to tell her how to live her live. She says she needs time..she says she dosen't love me at all anymore & there are no feelings for me. Towards the end of the relationship, I did some really romantic things, I bought her a promise ring to show her my affection for her and commitment, I acted like a real gentlemen...who I am now. If and when I do see her....she makes my heart beat faster and slower at the same time. Does she just need time to really know what she wants or should I just hang it up? I just know that this isn't the girl I have known for 9 years...shes like a stranger now. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank You

RomanceClass.com AdviceIs she 21? That's a common age for women to want to spread their wings.
You are significantly older than she is and maybe she is trying to free herself from her parents' influence and your's too.
Why not give her more time and see what develops?
Good luck! George
