is this going to go anywhere?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
Sorry if this is a little long but I'm very confused. I met this girl through mutual friends and she hung out with us a few times and came to some bars with me and my friends. She's really nice so I asked her for her number. Since then we have been talking almost nightly for at least 30 minutes on the phone. We even hung out a couple times and watched movies at her house a week ago. But here is the confusing part.....

Like almost routinely after talking to me on the phone for like a few straight nights, she'll ignore my call the next night and not call back. I get the impression she isn't as into me as I am into her so I don't call her back the next day. Then, the weird part is that if I dont call her back the day after she doesnt call me, she always ends up calling me later on that night just when I figure she's tired of bothering with me and lost interest.....

So then I get all excited again and think she likes me again, so I'll make plans to hang out a few days down the road and she'll say sure, then something will always come up, like she is going out with her friends or has to do something. Then I'll get bummed out and not call her the next day. Then of course like it's a game she'll call me the day after I didn't call her. Then she makes plans to hang out with me on like a real double date with her sister and her boyfriend like an entire week in advance, but makes no plans to see me in between.

I don't know what to do. She told me she likes me, but she only seems to take concern if I don't bother with her for a day or two. She hardly ever suggests we hang out and even forgets sometimes when I ask her in advance to hang out in a couple of days. I really like her, but I feel like I'm chasing after something that isn't gonna amount to anything. She is all done her semester at school this week so I guess I could see if things change after this. This isn't going to amount to anything if we just keep talking over the phone and never hang out. What should I do, I need all the advice in the world because I'm so confused by this girl?

You've only known her for a few weeks or a month.

Don't expect too much from her too soon. She probably hasn't figured out how she feels about you yet and may be playing hard to get.

Whatever the case, your idea is a good one and that is to see how things go now that she is on break. Try asking her out to a nice restaurant and see how she reacts to that.
