She acts like his mother
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Femalei'll try to make this short as possible. okay, i was seeing this guy for 9 months. in the beginning he had a girlfriend, but he soon broke up with her to be with me. 2 days before christmas i found out that he was still with the girl. she called me and confronted me about him. he denied ever being with me and ever having sex with me to her. when he left her house, he called me crying over her and apologized and said he didnt know what to do at the time. he kept telling me that he loved me and was just confused with everything. now he is still with the girl and we rarely talk. i am still deeply in love with him and i let him know exactly how i felt about him. but he just tried to blow it off and change the subject. everyone keeps telling me to just leave him alone but it is sooo hard because i gave him the best of me and cant let him go. The girl that he is with now is not for him. his family dislikes her, his friends dislike her, she tries to run his life, and she even hits him and tries to act like his mother. he doesnt need that in his life. i can treat him so much better. he is always with the other girl and tells me not to text him because he is with her and then he'll text me when he leaves her. He keeps telling me that he still loves me but i really dont feel like he does. i really want him back in my life. i cannot live without him. he hurt me terribly but i love him dearly. i am willing to forgive him, i just need the love of my life back. What can i say to him to open his eyes and see that he deserves to be treated like a human being and to let him know that i would give anything in this world to have him back in my life? Also if he loves me like he says, why is he with her and not with me when she treats him so badly? Please help!!!
RomanceClass.com AdviceMy guess is that he is attracted to her because she treats him like his mom does.
Guys sometimes are looking for mother figures. It makes them somehow comfortable no matter how bad it looks from the outside.
Keep telling him you love him and give him as much support as you can when you hear he is mistreated. Eventually the message should get through to him.
Hopefully the combination of you treating him nicely and her treating him meanly will turn the tide and bring him back to you.
Good luck! George
