A good way to build a relationship is to do three things.

First, communicate with her-- share information, stories, etc.

Second, share feelings with her-- tell her how you feel about things and listen to her tell you the same.

Third, be affectionate-- compliment her, hug her, give her nicknames.

All these will lead to respect and trust and ultimately to an increased romantic feeling.
