Is there a chance me and my ex could still be together?

Me and my ex boyfriend broke up 8 months ago and im still devastated(even though we only went out for three months and it was long distance) so he decided to break up with me before school starts back. he says that he doesnt want to cheat on me. then i find out that he doesnt have a girlfriend. he jus moved recently and i had found his number. first i was playing on his phone(texting him) to make sure that was him. he got msd cuz he didnt kno who i was. but then i text him and told him who i was he was happy it was me.then he called me and i was suprised he still remembered me. he knew my country accent, that i liked to watch south park, and that i loved to eat donuts. he sounded happy. then he had to call me back cuz it was late. do u think we still got a chance?
