I lost the love of my life
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleMy exboyfriend and I were together for 10 months, which isn't very long, but he changed my life. I know in my heart of hearts that I will never have this kind of a bond with anybody ever again. Several months ago, I started to pick fights with him, and 4 weeks ago, he told me that he couldn't take the stress anymore. He told me, "I will always have feelings for you, I could never forget you even if I tried." I'm afraid that he only said that to ease my hurt feelings. Now, I have moved and live 2 hours away from him. We talk every other day or so, but still, it kills me to know that I'm not his anymore. How can I get him back without pushing him away? And how can I deal with the distance?
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou caused the trouble so it's up to you to fix it.
When you talk, make sure you don't get into fights with him... even little ones. Let him know you are working on your anger problem and the reason you are is because you still care for him.
Regarding the distance problem, you will have to move back to where he lives and see how that improves things. I doubt if anything will develop with a two hour separation plus the previous problems.
Good luck! George
