He Carries Me Around - Does He Like Me?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I have been good friends with my neighbor for 5 years now. Within the last year, I have gotten really close to him and now I consider him my best friend. I started liking him about a year ago. Last summer I told him that I liked him and he got mad at me, but this year it is different. We have gotten alot closer and I have gotten to know him even better.

Since last year, I haven't told him that I liked him because I am afraid to lose my friendship with him and I am also afraid of rejection. I am with him everyday, and when I am not with him I can't stop thinking about him. When my sister talked to him, he told her that he liked me in his own little way. Even his friend told me that he talks about me and that he liked me.

He constantly flirts with me and whenever I talk about another guy that I like he gets jealous. When we are in the pool he always wants me to carry him around like a baby and he wants to hold my hand.

In conclusion, I would like to know if he has the same feelings for me as I do for him...plz help me thank you

Obviously the guy likes you, you don't pick up and carry around girls you hate!! Nobody EVER likes someone the "same way" that they are liked in return. There are 80 quadrillion different shades of grey along the 'like' scale. And every single day, every single hour, your feelings are shifting and changing and growing and retreating. It is a constant, flowing thing, like a meadow of wildflowers. So right now you know you are interested in him, and he is interested in you. You also know you are both friends. So the aim is to start sliding you two further along the scale in the direction of 'boyfriend/girlfriend'.
