The meaning of actions...
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old FemaleHi,
I like a boy...
The other day, as i walked by in the cafeteria, he was sitting down at his table with his friends, and his friend nudges the boy i like and says: ***** here she comes! And then he looked at me and then we both turned away... I think it was embarrassment... What could this mean? Could it be a bad sign?
The other day i was with two of my friends and we were having a chat with our Sport teacher. I see *him* comming and he sees me, he looks at me. I look away and hug my teacher... He looks at this and comes running up behind him and smiling hugs him too... I was wondering if he wouldve come to the teacher even if i wasnt there... My friends which are pretty straight forward told me it was obvious he had a crush on me... Im not so sure. Is this a sign, or does it merely matter?
I was dancing with this boy, and *he* passes by and stares at us with a blank look... What does a blank look mean? Angry, confused, sad, jealous, or is he just looking right through you?
Another thing is when i was in class and having a talk with a friend of mine, and he passes in the hallway, and steps back to look at me through the door. When he sees my friend saw this, he quickly looks away.. Looks one last time and hurries off. Is this good?
Is it a good thing if the boy you like sees you rolling in the grass with another friend or yours? Or nuzzling? What is a good impression?
Is it a good thing to chat with him over msn, or is it just better to talk only in real? I dont want it to be too obvious, but i want to drop hints... What is a good way to start a conversation?
Thank you for all your help and I am sorry if this is quite long...

I won't have time to answer them one by one but will try to answer them in general.
First, I agree with your friends that he has a crush on you. You should take the bull by the horns and ask him out. Do this in person or on msn, in person would be better.
To start a conversation with him just say "Hi how are things doing?" Then be prepared with a followup statement for after he says "Fine." You might ask him what he's doing this summer. Or ask him if he likes to hike (be ready to suggest a place.) Don't expect too much from the first talk, it is usually nerve wracking for both people.
Good luck! George
