I Admire Her - What do I Say?

I admire this girl a lot but I don't know what to say to her. How do I approach her?

The first step in talking with anyone is finding a topic they enjoy talking about. If you see this person regularly in school or at work, learn about them either through observation or by talking with friends. Does she like cats? Is she a huge fan of jazz music?

Now learn more about that topic. Learn about the latest bands, or the types of cats that are popular or so on.

Now it's easy. People enjoy talking about their hobbies. So find a time when she's alone so there's no 'audience' and say hello. Say that you heard she's good with cats, and you've always wondered why siamese cats are cross eyed. Or say that you've heard she knows about Jazz music, and you wondered what a good starter CD would be to buy.

Now you just have to be a good listener, and let her do the talking! And since she's talking about something she enjoys, she should find the conversation fun and enjoyable.

Don't expect the first conversation to be hours long, and definitely don't jump into asking for a date! You just want her to get to know you a bit, so that the next conversation is easier, and so on, until she gets to trust you as a friend.
