I don't want to get hurt again

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Back in november i became good friends with a kid i used to kno, and he is great, but i got him to ask me out before christmas, we went to a sportsevent at school he went with all his friends and stupid me i showed up alone. the date ended up bein terrible and i almost got hurt. i got home and sent him an e-mail tellin him that w.e we were, that it was over, and he responded with "i asked u out as friends nothing more".....did i misunderstand him or did he just freak out and lied to look good?

and now since me and him are in a sports team together we appologized but we no longer had that thing between us anymore, no more nicknames or inside jokes. and he came thru in a bad situation and he was great to hang out with. and he is also comin to ma house tomorrow night(small get together nothing big) and he seemed super excited that i invited him but does he like me? i really dont want to get hurt againt and i dont want to look like an idiot!

RomanceClass.com Advice
It is good he is coming to your party.

This will give you two a chance to interact and see how the feelings flow between you.

Give it a chance. Probably the bad date was just a misfortune all around.

Look for clues because he will be giving them even if he doesn't know it.

Good luck! George
