Going to the USA
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleI have already asked for advice concerning this matter before. But there is another problem. I am leaving for USA for higher studies and the friend whom I like he is studying in UK. I am gonna leave within a week. Now the problem is even if he asks me out again should I go for it because if I say yes to him this time, then this would be a long distance relationship. And I have seen that long distance relationships don't usually work out well. Though I trust him a lot still I am pretty scared to say yes because I am afraid about if this does not work out well. I just dont want to lose him as a friend. I just want to know whether it would be a wise decision to go for it if the friend asks me out.
RomanceClass.com AdviceI don't advise that people enter into long distance relationships.
The odds against things working out well are long. There are too many temptations and opportunities for misunderstanding. And, the lack of physical contact becomes a big roadblock to happiness.
If he asks you out, tell him it will be ok as friends. And that you are open to the relationship growing deeper but you are hesitant right now.
Good luck! George
