Do I need professional help

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My girlfriend has a couple of guy frinds and Im not realy worried about most of them but one has been texting her a lot and calling her on her cell phone. they hang out at her house alone and with friends of hers while im not there.I havent asked to see any of the messages because i dont want her to know think that i dont trust her. My question is am I in the wrong for not trusting her and am I just being overly jealous or what? Should I seek professional help to help control my jealousy?

It sounds like you are normally curious and concerned about what is going on with her and this guy. Loving and gentle conversations with her on this subject might ease your mind. You could let her know that her relationship with the other guy is causing you some unpleasant emotions.

Ask her if she would mind sharing more of what the two of them are doing when they are alone or texting. Don't be accusatory just concerned.
