I can't help feeling jealous...

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Male
My fiancee works in security at an oil refinery. She has coworkers that are always around her for hours on end and she will not talk to me when they are around.I know she is at work and can't spend every moment with me,but I can't seem to feel left out.For a few months it was her and I always. Now she has this new job and she hardly has time for me anymore.Last night I went to pick her up after work.We always talk on the phone while I am driving and last night she couldn't becasue there was this guy there that she works with.He was supposedly on patrol but he was at her gate for over an hour.It started an arguement that I didn't want to have.I really need help.I love her and do not want this to ruin the wonderful relationship that we do have.I would really appreciate some great advice.

Look at it this way-- for the first few months you lucked out.

You had her to yourself and everything was cool. Now, as they always do, things have taken a slight swerve to the worse.

You need to take it in your stride. Things will change again and probably in your direction this time.

Don't push her away by being jealous. She is just doing what millions of people do and that is to chat with coworkers. She would be considered strange if she didn't. And then her coworkers would treat her strangely.

Your relationship is safe unless you make a big stink over something that is rather normal. She will appreciate this and reward you some way.

Good luck! George
p.s. next time you pick her up bring a dozen roses.
