We were together for a year, is there hope?
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleI was with my ex for a wonderful year, i am 23 and she is 19. But about 4 months ago she broke up with me to try new things as she said she needed space and the feeling of being single and moved into a flat with her friend in town and has started drinking a lot. About a month after we broke up she started going out with someone else who fits in with her whole new scene and she is still with him after 3 months. So theyre in the honeymoon period. about 2 weeks after the breakup i cut contact and worked on myself for about 6 weeks. Then i bumped inot my ex again and things seemed to go well so i called her to set up coffee. she seemed enthusiastic but then didnt even call to say she couldnt make it. since then she has been noticably uncomfortable talking to me. It could be that the new boyfriend has said something to her. Basically is there any point in me making any further advances to be in her life at this point or should i just let her contact me when she is ready? i think this whole drinking heavily phase will die out and probably their relationship too, should i just wait on the fringe, continuing to get on with my life but being polite and flirtacious and see if she comes back to me once shes done with this relationship or try being more forceful?
thanks

RomanceClass.com AdviceYour fist approach sounds like a good one.
As you said, wait on the4 fringe, get on with your life, but be polite to her.
She has set out on a new course and who knows whether she will continue on it or whether she will backtrack and find you.
Don't expect anything, it is too unsure. Look for a new girl which will give you a whole new perspective on the situation.
Good luck! George
