How can I ask a girl to prom

Hey like the website um i have this girl at school that i really like and we just started talkin so that's basically step 1 for me i want to get closer to her and maybe ask her to prom but the problem is for me that i am sometimes shy talking to her i think she is interested in me and always says hi iv'e known her for about 2 weeks so how should i make my next move by asking her out? p.s.thanks for taking the time to read this i need ur help

If you are too shy, give her a note which asks her.

Better ask her soon so nobody else asks her before you.
