Whats going on?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleOk I'm currently dating this girl and everything is going well, BUT her ex.They were dating for 2 years, and he cheated on her and took advantage of her, and i treat her better. From time to time he tries to call her and it messes me and her up, because she still has feelings for him, but doesnt want to.So I dont know if I should stay dating her or what, because I cant keep dating her and this guy is kinda hanging on the side messing us up.So is there a way I can get her to pay attention more to me and like forget him like really quick.
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou want her to pay more attention to you and forget him quickly.
My advice is to discuss (not argue) this with her and find out what her suggestions are.
My suggestion is to improve yourself so she finds you more attractive than her EX. Self-improvement will not only improve her opinion of you, but more importantly will improve your opinion of yourself. And that is vital in anyone's life.
Improve yourself:
*Physically: work out, get a tan (if you are white), groom yourself well (hair, shoes, dress, etc), take care of hygiene (bathe, teeth, nails)
*Psychologically: the list is endless-- good sense of humor, kindness, affection, good listener, fairness, moderate, argue fairly, etc.
*Socially: have good friends, join activities, get along with your parents, take an interest in her friends.
*Intellectually: keep up on the news, get good grades, read a book.
Take one from each topic and work on it immediately so she can see a change. Then slowly add new things.
Everyone should be interested in self-improvement so don't think of it as "not being yourself."
Good luck! George
