I love my ex and want him back But...

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
My problem is that He knows I love him and want him back but he tells me he is seeing someone else and need time for himself but thats not the real problem.
Its that we both have been invited to the same New Years Eve Party.
My bf invited him and his gf(he knows I might be going)
My bf knowing that I'm going alone and how I still love him and want him back,I don't know what to do ? Do I go and hopefully he sees what he is missing or do I just stay away.
