My Mom and Brother hate my girlfriend

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
About three months ago, I got back together with my girlfriend after two years. My mom and brother don't like the fact that I am seeing my girlfriend again, after we broke up two years ago. My mom got divorced ten years ago, and since she's not with somebody she want's me to be the same way as her. My brother is very jealous of me and hates the fact that I am dating, he is not seeing anyone right now. What can I do to gain their approval of my girlfriend?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It seems that the problem is not with this particular girlfriend, but
ANY girlfriend. Your mother and brother are jealous of anyone you date.

Or, at least that's how I understand your message.

Tell your mother that you want to get married some day and have grandchildren for her to love. This won't happen if she refuses to be agreeable to women you want to date.

Tell your brother to butt out, it's none of his business. And, I'll bet if you get your mother to understand then your brother will follow along.

Good luck! George
