Breakup: I'm left with more questions than answers!
Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old MaleOkay, I'm a 48 yr old male, my ex girlfriend is 41 yrs old. We have dated for 5 months. We broke up just before Xmas. It sucks! She is the love of my life (I guess). We took a 4 day trip to Cabo San Lucas. After day 1, she seemed really distant and annoyed at my very presence. Why? Who knows. All she wanted to do was read a book and tan. Before the trip, she was very excited to go with me and we both were very excited about the trip in general. The next 3 days she did not speak to me and was very sullen and irritated. I felt like crap being completely ignored and wondered what is going on. Okay, when we got back home and to her place, the evening of day 4, I asked her what is going on. She snaps at me telling me that maybe she does NOT want a boyfriend after all. I get the old, "Maybe it's you or maybe it's me" line. I left her house completely bewildered. It has been 1 month that we have not spoken to each other, she refuses to talk to me, and she does not see that I deserve any explanantion regarding the breakup. She never actually "broke up" with me in person. The last email I got from her pretty much stated for me not to contact anymore. I'm serious...this is the MOST bizarre relationship/breakup I ever experienced. Is it really over? Is she flipping out? Hormones? Personal issues? What do I do? I cannot stop thinking about her and I'm pretty angry that it just went "poof".. I have not been stalking her, email, text, nothing since we broke up. I'm just simply confused.
RomanceClass.com AdviceThis is completely inexplicable and she is very nasty.
You should be glad to be rid of her. She wouldn't talk to you or explain to you what was going on. That is inexcusable.
You might as well start getting her out of your system because she is a lost cause. If she won't talk to you then she doesn't deserve the time of day.
Lose her and forget she ever happened!
Good luck! George
