he says he loves me but sometimes im just not sure
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleMe and my boyfriend have been dating for a while and we are very much in love but we always fight because he doesnt seem to think before he talks or does something. we had a dance at school and because i was sick i decided not to go. I told him he could go and have fun. So he went. After the dance he called me and told me he only danced with one girl. Of course that made me upset. i would have been happier with him dancing with a lot of different girls, then just one for four hours. Well the next day he came over to my house and told me, how the girl he danced with, texted 4 people asking for his number. She even told his best friend that my bf is hot and she doesnt care that we are together. i was pissed. so i found out her number and texted her from my phone but i said that it was my bf. she started texting back and i could tell she really is interested in him. she even asked what are the chances of him breaking up with me and dating her. at that point i snapped, called her and told her to stay away. My bf got mad at me and told me i was acting dumb. But i told him that given his previous record with girls, i dont think im acting out of line. Then he got so mad and got up and got ready to leave. i told him if he left that would be the end of us because im not playing any games. well he didnt leave and we made up. Today however, we were talking about it and he said that he loves me so much and doesnt want to lose me, but than he said that he wouldnt have tried to get back with me if we did break up. That contradicts everything he tells me everyday. right now i am so close to breaking up with him, and i really want some unbiased advice because i know what my friends would say.
i know he cares about me but sometimes i really wonder just how much.
btw. sorry its so long.
RomanceClass.com AdviceIt wasn't too long.
Seems you and your BF have hit a bump in the road. But, you survived it by talking about it.
My advice is to stick it out with him for a while longer to see if his attitude changes. And, your feelings are riled up too. Wait for your feelings to calm down.
I think you two will do ok.
Good luck! George
