His birthday is coming up, what shall i do?

He is the one who broke up with me since he was not ready, well that is what he told me. I am ignoring him and doing everything that i am meant to be doing to get him back. Now his birthday is coming up, i don't know what to do? Shall i buy him something separately or like chip in together with his mates who are my mates as well but that is if they are getting him something?
