I Love Her but she is looking for work out of state.

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Male
We have been best friends for 14 years (long before her marriage). Just under a year ago she was starting to go through a divorce and she moved back to the state and we fell in love ( we have been in love before she was married),and started dating. The work she wants to do is hard to find and more than likely will move her out of state. She is now divorced, we are still in love and dating. I cannot keep her here and have her be happy. She tells me maybe in a couple years she can possibly transfer back. I dont know if it is possible to keep this a long term relationship or even if its fair to us. I want to try, and most importantly be her friend. I cant leave the state I own a company here. What do you think? What can I say or do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
I don't support long distance relationship for more than a year. Although for some it works out ok.

Your options are limited: ask her to marry you and quit her job; sell your business and go with her; or try the long distance route. If #1 and #2 are out of the question, then #3 is your last chance. Breaking up may be what you have to settle for.

Sorry.

Good luck! George
