Should I Wish Her Happy Birthday ?

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Male
I have been broken up with an ex of 5 years for close to three years...

I have had a 2 year relationship since then and a bunch of hook ups however I for some reason miss her still...

Now I wont pick up the phone and call her because I know I will be tongue tied and she is the only person that makes me nervous...

I also know she is the type that wouldnt call me after this long of a layoff even if she missed me b/c of her pride !

Her 30th Birthday is coming up Jan 3 which is a pretty signifigant and Im so tempted to text her happy birthday...Even after 3 years of not talking !

What would you say in my position ?

I want to convey that I still think about her and miss her however not say those words exactly and sound desperate (which im not) I just miss her and I know my feelings are healthy ones....

Have you ever heard of a situation like mine before ?

This is not an unusual situation.

Definitely write her and tell her you think about her and miss her. That should be enough (with chit-chat of course). Who knows what will develop.
