Wondering if this girl has put me in the friends zone?
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleI met this girl on an internet forum and we've moved our friendship over from there to yahoo messenger. We chat at least 3 times a week. She gave me her phone number and we've spoken twice. The only reason I didn't ask her out is because she lives on the other side of the world(continent). So,a relationship is out of the picture.
However, I've noticed she dosen't flirt with me as she use to do.I don't know if its because we gone past the "discovery" stage . I'm dreading that I've been put in "friends zone" forever.I'm not someone that thinks the world revolves around him but I've noticed that the moment we started chatting on yahoo messenger she has stopped quoting me or interacting with me publicly on the forum. It seems she does everything possible to stay away from me.If we are on the same thread and I say something funny and people are responding to me directly, she will respond to the person responding to my joke. She's also a big flirt(nothing wrong with that) but I've also noticed that she flirts with a lot of people on the forum but never me.Once again, I really don't have a problem with that but I'm just curious about the mixed signal.
Having said all that, everytime we chat, we average about an hour and half and its always fun.I just want to make sure I'm not a nuisance or a bother.
RomanceClass.com AdviceShe is giving you mixed signals. Maybe you should ask her outright why she is freezing you out on the forum. Do it gently so she won't think you are pressuring her. Your long chats are a good sign. Long distance relationships are usually difficult so don't be surprised by these troubles.
Good luck! George
