Im Jelous, and i have 100 reasons to be!

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ive been with my boyfriend for about 3 years now. We are a couple that argue very rarely. However recently there is a girl which is his friend that has come to stay for 3 weeks. He's been with her for alot of times. Once he had promised me to spend a day with me..but he had broken that promise and went shopping with her. We have argued and argued and i get more and more jelous. They do lots of things together e.g 2 hour phone calls at the middle of the night. I asked him "Can you promise me that you dont like her or have any feelings for her"..he answered "im sorry im a bad boyfriend". Now he has another 3 days to spend with her and she is sleeping over at her house. We have considered to split up but he then resisted and said he would never lose me because he loves me. What should i do? Im really unhappy these few weeks and im unable to sleep as i always think what they might be doing. Is it time to let go as the trust in the relationship is gone? I dont know ..

Another day has past and now she will only be around two more days.

It is too early to think of breaking up. There may be worse things that come up in your relationship so think of this as a test. It seems like he has past the test and blue skies are ahead.

This has been a fairly minor speed bump in the flow of your life and you have handled it well.

Good luck! George
