Long distance love vs. new love at home.
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleMy Boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half, but for one year now we have been seperated because he lives in Argentina and I live in Montana USA. I have been planning to visit him all year this september. We talk on the phone over skype almost everyday. He is a great sweet perosn, who works 7 days a week earning money so that when I visit we can travel and he wont have to work. our only problem really in our relationship is that he was never good at kissing or anything sexual, i try to get him to tell me things over the phone and he is just akward about it... so that is a turn off.
Now i graduated highschool and its summer and im working so that i can go down to argentina, and i meet this guy here and he is great i love his personality and to top it off he is a great kisser! i'm still however going to visit my boyfriend because i promised i would and i love the culture in south america. i guess im just confused, if I am in love with my boyfriend wouldn't it be impossible to also like someone else? Also I wonder if is just the distance that has made our love weaker and that once im with him if it will grow strong again? also I dont feel terrible about cheating on him. and telling my boyfriend is out of the question because i dont want to break his heart. My parents think that im to younge to be so serious with my boyfriend and that i should just go to collage but also they are not that opposed to the idea of me visiting him. I guess im just having trouble pleasing everyone and I dont really know what I want either.
Thank you
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou should make it crystal clear to your boyfriend in Argentina that you expect him to kiss you and whatever else you want from him. He certainly wants it too but is too shy. It is critical that you clear this up before going down there.
As far as you kissing this other guy, that only proves how important it is for your Argentinian boyfriend to accept that you are a physical person who enjoys physical romance. If he can't accept that then forget him. You should be very clear on this subject before going down there.
Meanwhile, I can't recommend that you continue kissing the guy here because that is cheating on the Argentine guy. But you have to make the choice. Perhaps you will fall in love with the guy up here and give up your decision to go to Argentina.
Give this a lot of thought and go ahead with it.
Good luck! George
