Well I just can't seem to get over my ex, i want him back so badly....but the problem is our age.

Well last October I met this guy who practically swept me off of my feet. And so we started to date but our love wasn't supposed to be. You see i am 16 and he was 18. So there was a major problem with the law. And we had to go behind my parents back to date. Well basiclly we dated anyways, he understood the risks so we lasted about 5 months before my parents found out. And so he had to break it off with me, because my dad is very violent and probably would have killed him if i had ever talked to him....But you see, it wasn't the typical teenage love. It was true, we were going to wait to do anything until i was 18 then we were going to get married. He even proposed to me. The break up took a huge chunk out of me...

Well I knew my parents didn't want the relationship to go on so I tried to move on. I tried to forget about him. And its been 8 months of me trying. I talked to him, and he has changed so much. I just want to be there for him, but i don't know what to do...And i know that this is probably not a story you guys would like to answer, but please help me. I want my ex back, but my parents are the complication. And I can't wait till im 18...its hurting me inside so much.

Ask your mother to go to a therapist with you to discuss the problem. You will get good advice and your mother will too. If your father will go that would help. If he doesn't go, he will hear back from your mother.
