Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleI'm splendidly in love with this guy who jus happens 2 b a yr n a half older 2 me we're really close as friends we flirt too n v help each other in every matter....recently i waz being troubled by some guyz n whn he came 2 knw of tht he jus sprang up possesively n evn though i didn't tell him nything he got furious n started asking me everything abt it...we dont talk much coz both of us r really shy but our choices are exactly the same so v dont need 2 speak up much either....but the point is none of us know of the other's feelings towards each other...how do i get 2 know his feelings towards me without directly asking him?? i've tried not 2 think of him in tht way but i cant help it....his thoughts jus keep me away frm it! whenever he'z around,be it for 5 mins or 5 dayz,i jus cant get a min away frm him i jus wish tht tym wud nvr end n when it comes 2 his leaving,i usually end up in my room literally sobbing n at the same tym feeling guilty of evn a fraction of a sec away frm him..i jus somehow feel complete n protected around him...i haven't said anything 2 him yet coz i dont wanna end up losing evn my friendship with him but cant be "jus friends" with the 1 i love either!
he'z a very sensible person n knows how 2 make others hppy n satisfied too...ppl around say we're twins in nature n choices....he helps me out in jus anything....makes me happy whn m not,helps me out with projects,evn whn i need 2 lie .) i used 2 share each n every secret of mine with him!
however,he had been keeping a lil distance from me although he hasn't talked 2 any of his family members either coz he cudn't get an admission into his dream collg,i tried talking 2 him abt it but he jus sayz no there's nothing,BUT since the incident with those guyz,he actully started being protective of me n nvr lets anything happen 2 me,evn if he'z not around!
how do i make sure of his feelings???are these jus friendly or elderly possessive feelings of his or is there something which i haven't seen??PLZ do help me out!
i jus cant imagine being away from him, but does he think of me evn a lil bit tht way??? thanx anywayz!

Here is something I recommend to shy people. Instead of directly telling him you love him and risking a friendship, tell him you are "starting to develop feelings" for him and ask him how he feels about that. If he agrees then everything is ok. If he says he thinks of you as a friend then you haven't risked your friendship.
If you are too shy to do that, tell him you have a friend who is developing feelings for another guy but is too shy to tell him. You can tell by his advice how you should proceed.
I recommend the first approach because it is more honest and that is something you should always try for in a relationship.
